Yes, in a dynamic situation, innocents will get muzzled. This is why trigger discipline is more important than muzzle discipline. Am I intentionally muzzling people, no. But, it will happen if there is dynamic movement of the shooter, the innocents and the bad guys.

Abner is also right that we break the rules all the time when we dry fire, use simunition, use airsoft, paintball, etc.

Hooray, finally someone who gets it! I’ve been preaching this for over twenty years, as a Police Firearms Instructor (30 year veteran, now retired). These ridiculous “norms” are bullshit. Id also like you to address are situational awareness. The idea that we can always be in condition yellow and that we can always avoid the fight if we’re just “aware” of our surroundings. Too bad, but NOPE. Nobody is always conscious of everything, every second of every day. Sometimes the fight comes to us, we’re usually behind the curve and if we don’t fight like hell we lose! This is the most reckless and irresponsible “training” video in the world. If your getting “muzzled” in training then you need to quit!
