The vehicle ambush is a subject matter that is near and dear to my heart. Why? Because I used to be a cop and this is something that you always think about as you roll through your district in your patrol vehicle. Let's, however, have a look at this from the viewpoint of a private citizen who may not realize what is at stake. In light of how "off the rails" America is quickly becoming this is a poignant conversation to be having right now. In the past week I've seen a couple of cases where "peaceful protests" involved "peaceful protestors" pointing firearms at people who's great sin was to try to be driving home. These issues could've been avoided had the drivers had enough situational awareness to not head into a crowd of protestors. Believe me, I get it, it's human nature to be curious about something that looks odd up ahead. Take that statement and break it down. If something looks "odd up ahead" that may be a clue that heading towards it may not be a good idea. Learning to listen to our gut feeling that something is off may very quickly become a lifesaving skill to have as America quickly changes...
